The film is dedicated to the memory of those devoted to the cause of salvation of nations by the grateful peoples who survived the genocide.
On March 18, the Armenian premiere of Man Pictures Production’s film “The American Good Samaritans” took place in the Red Hall of the Moscow Cinema in Yerevan. Statesmen, ambassadors, scientists, historians, artists, public figures were present.
The full-length documentary with feature episodes was shot with the support of the National Cinema Center of Armenia. The world premiere of the film took place on November 20, 2021 in Los Angeles, sponsored by the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA) as part of the “Arpa” International Film Festival.
This is a story about survivors. Also the story of the extraordinary people, thanks to whom the fragments of the Armenian, Greek and Assyrian peoples were saved from complete destruction. Their mission was to save human lives.
American genocide scholar Paul Levine and other independent researchers studying the genocides planned and carried out in Ottoman Turkey in the early 20th century provide details on humanitarian assistance allotted by the government of the United States.
The film was greatly facilitated by consultants from different continents, including AMAA Executive Director/CEO Zaven Khanjian, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Academician Ashot Melkonyan, President of the Haigazian University of Beirut, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, Former Researcher at the Library of Congress Levon Avdoyan and other intellectuals. The geography of filming is also comprehensive: USA, Germany, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Lebanon and Armenia.
