Volunteer with AMAA

Through social, educational, health and community economic development programs AMAA creates opportunities for local and international volunteers to work with families to help them build a better quality of life.

Through volunteering, you can also contribute to these programs.

You can familiarize yourself with the programs and make your pre-choice, then fill out the application, after which the volunteering and internship coordinator will contact you to discuss the details.

CheeseUp

CheeseUp is an opportunity to get involved in the economic development of the communities, helping the farmer to produce high value milk and cheese to get high income.

Location: Yerevan, Lori region (Dsegh, Debet, Chkalov, Yeghegnut, Vahagni, Dzoragyugh villages)
Duration: until 2025.
Volunteering duration: minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: agricultural field experience or current field education preferred

Age: 16-75

“Shogh” Day Centers

The best gift we can give our children is a well-rounded education: knowledge, life skills, personal growth and a healthy value system. Shogh centers create that opportunity for children.

Location: Yerevan, Stepanavan, Vanadzor, Gyumri
Duration: continuous
Volunteering duration: minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: good knowledge of any school subject/s, mastery of any branch of art, experience working with children

Age: 20-50

Soup Kitchens

AMAA’s charity soup kitchens are visited by local adults who, in addition to delicious food, participate in various one-hour entertainment programs, such as watching movies, discussions on various topics, games and warm communication, which is the most important achievement for the elderly.

Duration: Continuous
Volunteering duration: Minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: Effective communication skills with adults

Age: 18-40

Sponsorship

This program is a helping hand to children and their families who are in a difficult life situation. It contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of the family, helping to improve the standard of living. 

Location: Yerevan

Volunteering duration: minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: knowledge of the English language

Age: 18-30

Avedisian School

Education is in the epicenter of AMAA’s activities, and the best manifestation of that is Avedisian School, where hundreds of children receive quality formal education.

Location: Yerevan
Duration: every academic year
Volunteering duration: minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: knowledge of any school subject/subjects, experience working with children, pedagogical education

Age: 22-45

Yerevan and Spitak Clinics

Hundreds of families, including children, parents and the elderly, receive their health care in Yerevan’s Aynilian and Spitak clinics on a daily basis.

Location: Yerevan and Spitak cities
Duration: continuous
Volunteering duration: minimum 3 months
Skills and experience: medical education (ongoing or completed) is preferable 

Age: 18-50

Medical Mission

For years, various medical specialists have arrived from the Diaspora, who cooperate with the doctors of the Aynilian Clinic of AMAA and serve hundreds of people with their professional abilities, helping to diagnose diseases and providing necessary medicines. Many volunteers, especially medical students, help this team every year.

Location: RA regions
Duration: June-September of each year
Volunteering duration: 1-2 weeks
Skills and experience: English language proficiency, medical education (ongoing or completed)

Summer Camps

The summers are the best duration for thousands of children, teenagers and young people who combine their summer vacation with Christian education by participating in Shoghik camp organized jointly by AMAA and ECA.

Location: Hankavan, Shoghik camp
Duration: continuous
Volunteering duration: June-August of each year
Skills and experience: experience in Christian ministry

Age: 18-40

Christmas Joy

Every year, around 12,000 children in Armenia and Artsakh enjoy God’s love by participating in Christmas events and receiving gifts. Those gifts are packed by the hands of hundreds of volunteers.
