The large family of Virabyans was displaced from the village of Nor Verinshen in the Shahumyan region of Artsakh. The father of the family is a military man. He was on the frontline throughout the 44-day war in Artsakh.

They could not take much of the household items with them, but they did not forget the dog, Qotot, that had become a member of the family, they took him with them.

As a result of the notorious war, losing what they had created over the years – the house, the economy, the large family – Virabyans’ family did not give up and started a new life in the village of Nor Kyank, Ararat region.

As a result of working together with the family, we created a small farm. With the financial support of the AMAA, the family bought a pregnant cow. Now the family has a cow and a calf. Children drink fresh milk in the morning, mother makes Armenian yogurt and cheese.

The family is also engaged in beekeeping, the number of hives has increased. AMAA continues development programs with the Virabyan family, helping and encouraging their new achievements in the village of Nor Kyank.
