On November 18, the AMAA met with Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Health, Armen Gasparyan.
During the meeting, the AMAA presented its ongoing healthcare initiatives, including the activities of the Aynilian Clinic in Yerevan and the Spitak Children’s Medical Center. These programs provide support to thousands of socially vulnerable patients.
Discussions focused on the potential for joint screening programs within the framework of preventive medicine. Additionally, plans were discussed for implementing a school-based primary healthcare model at the Avedisian School, along with a proposal to establish a medical center on the school premises.
To tackle key healthcare priorities—such as establishing primary healthcare centers in Armenia’s regions, enhancing physician training and introducing screening programs—professional joint working groups will be formed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
