This year, АМАА summer camps offered unforgettable days to 4883 children, teenagers and young people in Armenia and 550 children in Artsakh in 31 settlements.

Artsakh… blockade…
It seems there are no other concerns than everyday worries and chores. But it turns out the youth of Artsakh have their own vision and mission to revive the motherland.

Since 2022 AMAA implements the “Trichq” youth development program in five villages of Artsakh: Kolatak, Tblghu, Herher, Kherkhan and Tsovategh.

Sports, games, arts and crafts, singing — our interns immersed themselves in diverse activities.

But it was the breathtaking Armenian nature, precious time with incredible kids, and valuable lessons learned that made this experience truly special at the AMAA’s Shoghik Camp.

One of the most anticipated events of the year, AMAA’s “Shoghik” children’s camp kicked off in Hankavan at the beginning of July. 780 children from different regions of Armenia participate in four shifts.

The message of the children’s camp is “Your hand on my heart”, aimed at conveying to kids the most important spiritual value: love for God and other people.

After this wonderful experience, kids will go home packed with unforgettable memories and hearts full of joy.

During the month of July, despite the blockade and the extremely challenging conditions of the crisis, the AMAA #Stepanakert office organized a 2-week day camp for 175 children.

We understood and realized that it was necessary to carry out the camp, because we knew what great expectations the children had. They had no other joy this summer.

AMAA’s Youth “Shoghik” Camp kicked off in Hankavan, on August 15-20.
200 young people aged 17-35 from different regions of Armenia enjoyed the beautiful nature and the entertaining & educational program developed for months.

The slogan of the camp was “Raise Your Sail”. Every day, the youth got acquainted with an episode of the biblical “sailing”, from which they learned life lessons for their own “navigation”. The youth also had the opportunity to try their abilities in various fields of art, engaged in games that developed the team spirit, had speeches revealing their talents and enjoyed interactive show programs.

They are trying to eliminate us, but we live and keep others alive…

Life in Artsakh is different. To live here you must be a support for those around you. You must transmit life to others. You must fight and not give up.

Uncertainty, chaos, despair… it seems that spring will never come to your Homeland. It is difficult to work with members of the young generation who live in this chaos and convey to them hope. It is even more difficult to show them one’s share of the mission.

Once again, from August 14-18, the Armenian Missionary Association of America’s branch in Artsakh brought together many youths to encourage, give hope and teach them that each of us has something to do to build the Motherland.
